Masai Mara is one of the most famous of Kenya safari parks in the world and the most visited park in Kenya. Standing at an altitude of 5,000 Ft , 300 Kms from Nairobi down the Great Rift Valley with magnificent views in the distance is Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Reserve itself offers the famous 'Out of Africa' breathtaking views and covers an area of 1,510 Sq. Km.
Famous also for the Out of Africa film which was mostly filmed here, this reserve holds an extraordinary density of animals including "the Big Five" (lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros). You will be amazed by the populations and species of plains game.
Its an extension of Serengeti and a home to the 'National Geographic' nature movies recorded each year as the impressive feature of annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles from the plains of Serengeti. They cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's grasslands from late June, tracked by predators among them lions, leopard,s cheetahs, and hyenas, numerous circling vultures as their journey unfolds.
You will be received and transferred to your overnight hotel, Nairobi Panafric. After check in, time allowing you can have a short city excursion (extra cost) and a visit to the giraffe center where children can feed the giraffes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast you will depart for Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After check in and lunch, you will leave for the afternoon game drive, and be back at the lodge at 1800-1830hrs.

You will take packed meals and venture further into the reserve towards mara river in search of the big cats, hippo pools, giant crocodiles and off course the world famous crossing point for the wildebeests, among other wildlife that this park has in store for you. You will return to the lodge for a rest, probably a dip in the pool and the rest of the time free. Your energies permitting, venture out again in last moments of the day to try your luck with the cats that are active when the temperatures go down.
Wake up early for the morning game drive, and soon after breakfast, your safari back to Nairobi will start, arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon. Lunch will be served at Carnivore restaurant, then your transfer to the airport for your departure flight or other arrangements.
